October 26-30

THIS WEEK

We made Halloween crafts and read Halloween stories. We made witches hats and a 5 Little Pumpkin theme. We worked in our workbooks and did worksheets.

We also worked on the letter C this week. We would like to THANK:
Kevin and Katrina for bringing in a Car, Campers, Campfire, and a Caution sign.
Ben for bringing in a Camaro Car and a Cat.
Ronin for bringing in Batman with Creature arms and Crypto.
Cyuba for bringing himself.
Keelin for being Clifford on Halloween.

Friday we decorated cookies and had a Halloween snack. We made pumpkins using crackers, pub cheese and raisins. We also had the Halloween Party!!!! It was a BLAST!! It was great seeing all the kids in their costumes!!!

NEXT WEEK

We will be learning about Dinosaurs this month. We will be separating the weeks into herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. We will be learning about Carnivores this week. We will have books, figurines and different facts about these creatures.

Also D is for Dinosaur this week.

October 19-23

THIS WEEK

We learned about pumpkins. We talked about what shape and color pumpkins are, we made a fall farm picture, we went pumpkin picking at Connor's Farm, measured how big our pumpkins were around, and painted our pumpkins. Today we cut our classroom pumpkin open to see what was inside. We asked the kids what color they thought a pumpkin was inside, the responses were: Yellow (Ronin), Blue ( Cyuba), Green ( Kaylee), and Red (Keelin). Then we asked the kids what the inside looked like and they all responded a JELLYFISH. Each of the kids got a chance to help take the mush and seeds out of the pumpkin. Then we made a Jack-O-Lantern!!

We worked on the letter B this week. We would like to THANK:
Kevin for bringing in a Big truck and showing us his Belly and Back.
Katrina for bringing in a Blue Bracelet.
Remy for telling us that dogs Bark.
Cyuba for showing us the Bed of his truck.
Ronin for bringing in a Ball.

NEXT WEEK

We will be learning about how the weather changes in the Fall. We will also be making a lot of Halloween crafts.

On Friday, Oct. 30th the students are allowed to wear their costumes to school

REMINDER: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, the CLARK SCHOOL WILL BE HAVING AN ALL SCHOOL HALLOWEEN PARTY. IF YOUR CHILD WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND A PARENT NEEDS TO ACCOMPANY THEM.

October 5-9

THIS WEEK

We are learning about FALL this month. This week we talked about APPLES. We talked about what colors apples are, where they grow, and how they taste. We painted and cut out apples and made apple stamps. Check out the Library area!! We also made applesauce on Friday for snack. YUMM!!! This being the month of Halloween, we are going to talk about different animals, people, or things that the kids may see. This week we talked about Spiders and Bats. We are in the process of making crafts to hang on the wall. So keep and eye out for them. We also worked in our work books this week.

We are on the letter Z. Z is for Zucchini. We would like to THANK:
Katrina for bringing in a Zebra.
Ben for bringing in a Z book and the number Zero.
Ronin for bringing in a pull over with a Zipper.

NEXT WEEK

We will be learning about Leaves. We will be examining leaves with our class microscope, going on a nature walk to observe the changes, and leave pressing. We will also be working on the letter A. A is for Autumn.

Kaylee's Birthday is Oct. 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a reminder there is NO SCHOOL! Monday, October 12. Columbus Day!!!
