Welcome the new month! This summer is flying by!

THIS MONTH we will be learning about Outer Space!!

THIS WEEK

We went to the MOON!!!! We talked about what the moon looks like and how it is shaped. We painted the moon and made astronauts with our pictures in them. We learned two new songs this week Astronaut Song and Aikendrum. We made Aikendrums, too. We also learned about the phases of the moon and marble painted them. Miss Sarah read us a story about the moon. We watched a space shuttle take off and land!

We worked on the letter Q this week. I would like to THANK:
Ben for bringing a Q book and Quaker and the Masterpiece book.
Alexander for bringing in a Queen playing card.
Ethan for bringing in a Quilt, the letter Q and a Quail making a Q.

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ALEXANDER and DAVIDSON!!!!! They both turned 5 this week!!!

NEXT WEEK

We will be exploring the SUN this week. We will be painting the sun and making Rocket ships.

We will be working on the letter R. R is for Rocket ship!!
